BonAlive Biomaterials is a manufacturer of implantable medical devices that offers a fully synthetic bioactive bone graft substitute (BonAlive®) for orthopedic and cranio-maxillofacial surgeries. The company started its activities after the recent acquisition of product property rights developed by Vivoxid. Our competence extends from research and development, product registration and clinical trials all the way to manufacturing and global sales and marketing. BonAlive® products are manufactured in our headquarters in Turku, Finland. One of the key elements driving our organization is customer focus. BIOACTIVE GLASS
BonAlive®, a CE-marked synthetic bone graft substitute, is a product used for bone cavity filling in orthopedic and head and neck indications. Among many beneficial features, BonAlive® has a unique property: it inhibits bacterial growth, giving it a strong commercial appeal for treating chronically infected bone. BonAlive® products are available in several granule and package sizes.
Note: only BonAlive® Granules have the bacterial growth inhibiting effect since BonAlive® Putty has not been verified to inhibit bacterial growth.
